3.18 miles today, folks! In a mere 4.5 hours. Well, ok. Maybe not that much. I swear if I could just figure out how to breathe and run at the same time, I'd be in a much better position.
I said to Gwen today, "Someday I am going to be one of the skinny chicks running past a fat girl just starting to work out. She will look at me with the envy I now have for the lithe-bodied young un's gliding past. And on that day I will smile and offer encouragement mentally!"

I hate jogging. As a fellow asthmatic, I stand up and applaud. My other fitness goal for next year is to do a 5k in less than 30 just because I can, and its the hardest athletic sport (except for maybe lap swimming) on my lungs...and this is coming from a former competitive athelete. Anyway, I can give you some tips to keep the lungs happy that work for me, but everyone is different, and every workout is different.
Don't discount yourself... You are out there and there are many people who aren't. There is something to be said about determination and desire. And half those skinny gals can't hold a candle to that.
Good job steph! I have been lazy and not working out at all. I need to get back into the swing of things. 80)
You are out there with the skinny bods. That is saying something! You're in good company, whether you're wheezing or not. And for the record, the wheezing hasn't gone away for me and I've been working hard for 9 months. Don't ever ever ever give up.
way to go my friend!
